About Me (She/Her/Hers)
My practice focuses on helping you protect your most important asset—your family.
On family law matters, I will help you navigate the process with your goals in mind while seeking to reduce conflict. I offer traditional representation options, as well as collaborative or cooperative divorce representation. I am also a trained, experienced mediator ready to help you resolve your family disputes and move forward with your life. Together, we can explore options available and create a custom plan based on your personal needs.
I understand how mental health concerns and special needs can affect a separation or parenting relationship. I am also skilled at working with parties where domestic abuse are part of the family picture. I bring a breadth of experience across family law matters, but my practice is also informed by my experiences in probate and guardianship and mental health law.
I believe that a holistic approach to family law issues is especially important. To that end, I regularly interact with financial experts, mental health professionals, addiction counselors, and child specialists and am able to provide referrals and pull in such expertise, as necessary. Allow me to give you peace of mind when you may be struggling emotionally.
My adoption practice is driven by a belief that families come in all shapes and sizes and can be built in many ways. I am an adoptive parent myself and understand the many considerations involved in the decision to adopt, as well as the process. By whatever path you come to adoption, I am here to support you in your journey and advocate for you as you grow your family.
In addition to my law practice, I serve as an Adjunct Professor at Mitchell Hamline School of Law, focusing on courtroom advocacy skill building. I am also a proud mom of two amazing boys and one adorably average dog. I am an avid book club attendee and will welcome your recommendations!
